Overview

We are currently seeking a Junior Business Development Representative who has a passion for excellence to support our Business Development team in its attainment of its sales goals and business plan growth through research, direct selling and relationship building activities with new and existing clients to enable future bookings.   

Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Assistant Director of Sales, the Junior Business Development Representative responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Offer engaging, prompt and professional service when performing daily sales calls for prospecting for new clients.
  • Conduct research for potential employer leads, targeting various industry segments to acquire new business.
  • Maintain record of contact information, activity and business details for potential leads through use of software.
  • Communicate and monitor lead details of new business opportunities with Account Directors.
  • Consistently interacts with new and existing clients to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
  • Maintain knowledge of the Hotel’s products and services.
  • Accurate preparation and distribution of daily, weekly and monthly statistical reports for the purpose of ensuring sales goals are being met.
  • Meet weekly with Director of Sales and Assistant Director of Sales to provide feedback on quality/status  on searches and new potential business opportunities
  • Achieve or exceed yearly sales goals.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • University Degree/College Diploma preferred in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel or related major, 1 year experience customer related areas preferred
  • Highly motivated, driven and self-starter. Has a long-term career-path goal on becoming a high performer Account Director
  • Previous sales prospecting experience preferred
  • Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing skills.
  • Exceptional with details and follow up as it pertains to research and prospecting
  • Approach encounters with potential clients and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-orientated manner
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Demonstrate the ability to maintain professional composure at all times, while performing multiple tasks with deadlines and time sensitive information
  • Excellent ability with mathematical, analytical skills and problem solving capabilities
  • Literate in Microsoft Window applications
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively within a team setting to anticipate and help fellow colleagues, as well as working independently
  • Demonstrate ability to uphold confidential information
