Overview

Under direction of the Fallsview Manager, serves all food and beverage to guest rooms assuring Hotel and Sheraton Service Promise Standards are met at all times.

Responsibilities

Enthusiastically welcome and greet guests in warm, friendly, prompt and professional manner, delivery of food and beverages including alcohol, being familiar with all functions and daily specials, able to observe/report any guest complaints/special requests made by guests, set up of function rooms, ability to check all rooms after service to clean soiled dishes/glasses/linens etc., pre-set trays or tables to speed up the service process and any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate perpetual cheerfulness and extroversion in order to host/entertain each guest, modifying personal delivery as appropriate to different types of guests’ needs, interests and desires (adults, children, couples, cultural, etc.)
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, professional presentation and communication skills when dealing with guests and employees
  • Demonstrate the ability to maintain professional composure at all times, regardless of issue, while performing multiple tasks with multiple guests/multiple items/products
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision as well as cooperatively within a team setting
  • Ability to take initiative and provides friendly and proactive customer service while supporting their colleagues
  • Demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively within a team setting to anticipate and assist to another colleagues needs
  • Knowledge of Sheraton Service Promise
  • Demonstrate reliability and must be able to work all shifts
  • Previous serving experience is preferred
  • Good physical condition necessary to perform all duties
  • Outstanding attention to detail - both personal grooming/appearance and in properly identifying guest’s needs, demeanor, and level of required service attention
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job (i.e. lift up to 50lbs.)
  • Ability to work safely and in compliance with all health, safety and sanitation standards
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Smart Serve Certification required
