    In this senior resort position, reporting to the General Manager of the Hotel, the successful candidate will oversee all food and beverage operations to ensure that all operations meet or exceed resort and competitive benchmark standards of effective and efficient operational excellence, including anticipating and delivering consistent outstanding guest satisfaction; ensuring each food and beverage outlet meets or exceeds budgeted revenue and profitability, and outlet management creates and sustains an engaging and challenging work environment.

    Responsibilities

    Create and ensure outstanding and passionate standards of food and beverage product and service are provided in all food and beverage operations. Achieve budgeted revenues and expenses and maximizes profitability related to the food and beverage department. Contribute to the profitability and guest satisfaction perception of other hotel departments. Implement and maintains local and national sales/marketing programs.

     

    Develop short and long term financial and operational plans for the food and beverage department to support the overall objectives of the hotel. Participate in the preparation of the annual budget. Seek to continuously challenge and raise guest satisfaction levels in both food and beverage preparation and delivery. Set the primary example of all Food and Beverage staff with respect to outstanding attention to detail, passionate and responsive service to our guests; manages in compliance with established resort policies and procedures as well as local, provincial and federal laws and regulations. Ensure that all outlets responds to any related guest comments/concerns and ensures appropriate and timely action is taken. Ensure all food and beverage outlets meet or exceed resort recruitment and development standards for employees including; recruitment, selection, training, development, coaching and counseling, performance and salary assessment reviews as well as progressive corrective action as appropriate. Develop, recommend, implement, and manage the division’s annual budget, business/marketing plan forecasts and objectives to meet/exceed management expectations. Implement and manage all related resort programs to ensure compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures; including safety and sanitary, licensing, and all related federal and local regulations to ensure optimal levels of service are provides to the guest. Ensure all Food and Beverage outlets are properly marketed inside and outside the resort; ensure the development and management of menus, package deals, promotions, displays, decorations, and presentations within resort guidelines to increase the capture of resort guests and a larger share of the local competitive market to meet/exceed sales and financial goals and objectives. Ensure each food and beverage outlet manages the maintenance/ sanitation of the Food and Beverage areas and equipment in the hotel to protect the assets, comply with regulations and ensure quality service.

    Qualifications

    • Previous accomplished experience as a Director of Food and Beverage in a comparable 4 diamond resort or equivalent hotel environment; restaurant design and opening experience preferred
    • Four or five years of progressive employment in a fine Dining Restaurant
    • Excellent communication skills to negotiate, convince, sell, and influence the Food Beverage management team as well as working along with, and in co-operation with other hotel and resort managerial personnel, hotel guests, and/or corporate clients
