    The Brewmaster is responsible for further developing and sustaining all aspects of a growing craft brewery which services an onsite brewpub and retail outlet, commercial beverage accounts, and LCBO/Beer Store distribution channels.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities include maintaining staff and their scheduling and training. Responsible for recipe creation, raw materials selection and purchasing, quality control/testing/record-keeping/GMP’s. Financial and profitability, equipment and regulatory compliance. Production and equipment planning, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting sanitation. Budgeting and scheduling. Brewing and quality control of products an bottle/can products. The Brewery currently supports 4 main and 4 rotating taps, and is expected to annually produce 2500-5000 hectoliters of craft beer.

    Qualifications

    • The ideal candidate has established themselves as a passionate BrewMaster at a comparable sized craft brewery
    • Experience in both creating and brewing a variety of different beers
    • Not satisfied with maintaining the status quo
    • Ability to comfortably talk to beer aficionados as well as the general public- whether giving tours or making guest appearances
    • Strong mathematical skills
    • Comfortable working with electronic record-keeping systems/excel
    • Willing and able to make sure the production operation is working both effectively and efficiently
