Reporting to the VP of Sales, the Account Director is responsible for revenue generation. This includes sales planning (including an annual sales plan) prospecting, soliciting, negotiating, closing and reporting for group and FIT organizations for tour room nights, food and beverage, and other resort amenities and services. This includes organizing and hosting site inspections and FAM tours at the Resort; international travel, as appropriate for key trade shows/sales trips, maintaining market data and group travel intelligence for the market to Canada, Ontario, and in particular, Niagara Falls. Maintain professional working relationships with related public sector tourism organizations such as OTMP, Tourism Ontario, Canadian Tourism Commission, RTO, and Niagara Falls Tourism. Ensures timely group coordination with resort operations as well as responsive and effective problem solving as required. Personal work schedule flexibility is required to meet the needs of the customer.
Drive guest loyalty through excellent customer service throughout the sales process, ensuring repeated business and revenue. Demonstrate initiative to personally generate leads, proposals, and carry out sales solicitation by making personal and sales calls to achieve meeting room space and room quotas.
