Corporate Accounts Receivable Supervisor

This position leads a small team of 4 - 6 staff who manage  customer credit, invoicing, collections and problem resolution in a fast paced and high volume work environment.


  • Supervise, direct and lead the accounts receivable team including training, coaching and employee performance including identifying and resolving departmental issues.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure timely and accurate billings and all customer enquiries are dealt with appropriately.
  • Ensure payments applied correctly, follow up of overdue accounts, refunds and chargeback’s and to continuously improve the aging of accounts.
  • Issue monthly aging summary including report on delinquent accounts with collection efforts and required follow-up.
  • Seek opportunities to automate and streamline processes with the A/R department to improve efficiency.
  • Work with the operating departments to continuously improve their processes as it impacts the department.
  • Maintain strict adherence to the company reporting policies and A/R controls.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the organization.


  • Minimum of 3 years related Supervisory or Managerial Experience (in either A/R or the Hotel industry).
  • Well organized and able to prioritize objectives.
  • Hands on and flexible, able to work in a fast paced environment to meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate and develop a team to deliver top notch results.
  • Excellent computer skills including Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Significant related experience normally acquired from a minimum of 3-5 years experience as an Accounts Receivable supervisor.
  • Post secondary degree or diploma in accounting, business or a related discipline.
  • Experience working in the hospitality industry.
  • Working knowledge of computerized hotel administration system (Galaxy /Opera) an asset.
